Lake Forest, together.

My name is Amy Stevens, and Lake Forest is my home. I am a District 4 mom, homeowner, and community advocate running for City Council because local government should be practical, responsive, and grounded in the everyday needs of residents.

With more than 20 years of experience helping organizations communicate clearly, solve problems, and navigate complex issues, I am ready to bring a steady, solutions-first approach to public service.

This campaign is about supporting safe neighborhoods, strengthening local businesses, protecting quality of life, and planning thoughtfully for Lake Forest’s future.

I will listen, be transparent, and show up for our community.

What we can do, together.

A road construction worker wearing a hard hat and high-visibility vest stands in the street holding a red octagonal sign that reads “STOP” while raising one hand to signal traffic to stop.

Safe Streets, Clear Rules

Lake Forest should feel safe for families walking to school, neighbors out for a stroll, and everyone sharing the road. I will support common-sense safety measures, with a clear focus on e-bike rules, education, and consistent follow-through near schools, parks, and neighborhood streets.

A yellow rectangular sign hangs by two ropes from a suction cup on glass. The sign reads “We are OPEN” in large letters with a small sun icon, with blurred green trees in the background.

A Strong Local Economy

Lake Forest should be a city where good businesses want to open, grow, and stay. I want to support locally owned businesses, attract the kinds of shops and services residents actually want, and make it easier for residents to shop, dine, and spend time close to home.

Bright orange poppy flowers bloom on green stems in a sunlit field, with several open blossoms and a few unopened buds against a softly blurred natural background.

Conserving Lake Forest’s Character

Lake Forest can protect its character while being smarter with taxpayer dollars. I support practical conservation, thoughtful upkeep of public spaces, and efforts that keep our city attractive, welcoming, and well cared for.

Our Campaign, Powered by Community

This campaign is built by neighbors, for neighbors. Every contribution helps us reach more people, have more conversations, and keep this effort grounded in what Lake Forest needs most. If you believe in what we’re building together, I would be grateful for your support.
